LoadChat Terms of Use

1. What LoadChat is

LoadChat is a technology platform: an online load board you can use through the web and WhatsApp. LoadChat is not a freight broker, freight forwarder, carrier, dispatcher or agent of any user. We do not arrange, book, or tender transportation.

2. No rates, no payments, no load fees

LoadChat does not negotiate rates, issue rate confirmations or bills of lading, handle freight payments, guarantee payment, or charge any fee or commission tied to a load. Our only charges are flat software subscriptions or post credits.

3. Users contract directly

Shippers, brokers and carriers deal and contract directly with each other. Each user is solely responsible for their own operating authority (e.g. FMCSA MC/USDOT, Ontario CVOR, NSC), insurance, safety compliance, taxes, agreements and payment.

4. Vetting is a screening aid

We review documents users submit (authority, insurance, safety information). Vetting is a screening aid only and is not a guarantee, endorsement or certification of any user, load or truck. Verify your counterparty yourself.

5. Acceptable use

No fake, duplicate or misleading posts; no double brokering; no spam or harassment; only post loads and trucks you are authorised to offer. Posts expire automatically.

6. Moderation

We may review, edit, hide or remove any content and suspend or close any account at our discretion, including after reports from other users.

7. Messages and consent

By opting in you agree to receive service messages (account, match alerts) on WhatsApp and email. Reply STOP or change preferences at any time. Marketing messages are only sent with separate express consent (CASL).

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The platform is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, LoadChat is not liable for any loss arising from transactions between users, cargo loss or damage, non-payment, delays, or reliance on information posted by users. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify LoadChat against claims arising from your loads, transportation services, agreements with other users, or breach of these terms.

10. Subscriptions

Prices are in Canadian dollars plus applicable GST/HST. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.
